like shane and the rest of the world, i've been working. yes... working. i don't know why i subject myself to the mental torture. haha. just joking. in fact, i've been enjoying myself the past week. besides getting to meet my best friend, i will also be getting my paycheck within this week too. however, i will not (like shane) be free from my job. will do it till probably next week or so.
so yea, now working in the business office of east shore hospital. been doing lots of filing, photocopying, searching, computer-based work etc etc. not that i should complain when the people at the business office are all extremely friendly people. =) coupled with constant air-condition, free newspaper (so cheapskate i know), free magazines (8 days, FHM, i weekly, CLEO etc), and an increase in pay. i'm truly blessed.
ok. i'm working again tomorrow. and i wish i didn't have to cos i'm so tired. but oh well, just have to do it. no choice since they need help with filing and lots of data entry.
band today was fun cos i had nurbaya, chelsea, melissa, bryan and xueying to play with me. not forgetting wysen and yirong. =) thanks guys. which reminds me... there is a clarinet outing this sunday after church. should start planning what to do. arrrggg... have been waiting for batch outings.
while i am at it, i hope to take a moment to remember the five dragon boat sportsmen who lost their lives during the recent festival in cambodia.

goodness, a week just went past so fast that i didn't have the time to stop appreciate it. nonetheless, thanks bud for coming down to singapore. was great having company to the parachute band concert. and thanks for all the presents especially the present kept at john 3:16. i was shocked when i saw the letter. haha... didn't know you enclosed it inside. =) God has definitely blessed me with a friend like you. shall write to you soon.

glory to the Lord most high!
the past few days have been awesome. been busy packing druu's place with him. sigh... they are all moving to australia. when will it be my turn? i just hope it comes soon. right after army. =)
so yea... went for the parachute band concert at cornerstone church with druu and kowin. andrew came back on sunday while edwin came back yesterday evening. and since we all wanted to go for the concert, we met up with kevin. thanks for the invitation brother. it was alright! i fancied some of their songs so listening to it right now. imagine going all the way down to australia, sydney or new zealand, auckland to join in their worship.
first day... went with andrew to parkway for dinner. walked around the place which we haven't been to in ages. as usual, he bought two christian cds. mandisa and saxchill. we are cd freaks. and not forgetting our trip to marks and spencer where we tried out their clothes. the desire to buy them was huge. the shirt i tried on cost $140 while his was $90. so in the end, we ended up with...

nothing much happening today either. we spend most of the time in his place, catching up with secondary school days and discussing plans in australia. furthermore, there's irritable band practice for me. damn. oh well. have to go if not the woman will come looking for me again. =X
while i am blogging, i will take the time to blog about two events that will be coming up.
1. band members' garage sale. (consisting of bryan, melissa, chelsea, me, baya, sabrina and candice) objective: to sell our increasing amount of junk in our homes as well as to earn some money. date: not confirmed yet. venue: probably someone's house.
2. juxtapose II objective: play and make music lah. duh! date: 28th december 2007 (last friday of the year) time: 7.30pm - 9.30pm venue: meridian's multi-purpose hall. price: $6 per tix.

i had a feeling two weeks ago that working in a hospital would result in me getting sick... with the constant close contact with the patients. and unfortunately, i'm down with flu. combined with constipation. haha. my usual timing of food and toilet was disrupted when i had to wake up by 7 to rush to work. in any case, i'm glad i can finally rest. no more work for a week or so.
which reminds me... time to start studying.
as for now, i just have to wait for the money to start rolling into my bank account. =)
on a more serious note, i experienced a death atmosphere at the hospital just now. there was an 80 plus year old woman whose time had ended and sheeila announced over the PA system:
"code blue. code blue. doctors to ward 4a. doctors to ward 4a."
went to 4a and saw the family members all crying. just felt it was part and parcel of life. a new birth each day... accompanied with a death. after two weeks of working in the hospital, i've seen quite a number of things. been to the pharmacy where i frantically helped wipe dust and stockcheck their medicine. been to the accident & emergency department where i also wiped dust. saw the cases of broken bones and stuff like that. went to the business department and wiped the dust while learning stuff like cashiering and registration. the best thing was the laboratory where i saw the specimens to be examined like patients' blood, urine and stool. and i saw an uterus which was extracted from a patient due to cancer. =X
in all, i'm glad i worked despite the exhaustion. time to get a good rest and recuperate!

today was extremely well spent... cos i made full use of my time. was out from morning and just reached home.
had church in the morning. praise and worship was as usual splendid cos uncle milton never fails to play amazing music in dedication to the Lord.
then met shane and yongwen at monstercue for pool. goodness, 4 hours of pool lah! haha. quite cheap i must say... 4 hours for only approx $25. shall not talk abt it lah... i got thrashed by the both of them. haha. haven't been playing pool for so long. =X
met up with gwen at bugis and went to the the 'thieves market' where they sold so many second-handed goods (could be even third-handed or more). the whole place was so dirty. but yea. was quite an eye-opener. went around looking at old watches, pirated dvds, antique gramophones etc. my mum calls it the theives market cos she said the people there stole things and sold them at that place. alternatively, they took things from the dead and sold it there to earn some money. the mere thought of it sounds ridiculous.
after that, rushed down to city hall to meet up with wileen, jiayan, shazana and shawn. celebrated shaz's birthday at sakura restaurant. the tedious running around to avoid giving the surprise away was just hillarious. we walked to and from peninsula plaza three times cos shaz said it was in the building when it was not.
anyway...

it felt so good to be back in the house of the Lord. it has been almost 8 years since i stepped into VFC tampines and the place hasn't really changed much. still the sanctuary i used to do my sound system duties. the saddest part was that i didn't get to meet all my previous church friends. =(
oh well... i can't wait for the time when the Lord returns. that will definitely be the time when i get to meet all of them again.

it's a holiday! thaipusam man!
first things first... i'm sorry you all had to wait for me to upload the pictures. haha. come to think of it, i love my canon ixus. it captured so many wonderful pictures last night.
anyway... i've sent the pictures to yongwen. now sending to janice and kathleen. anyone else who wants it get it from me thru the sharing folder or just take it from my blog. i wanted to add stoopid captions to the pictures, but i'm like so exhausted from working that i shall just put up the more glam ones.
the meeting with the classmates yesterday was fab! kenny rogers made my night. haha.
