x-men3: the last stand was awesome!
went with the whole j1 cohort to watch it yesterday. like what huikoon said, it was just a blast! i enjoyed watching it though i had a serious headache yesterday. i'm so going to watch it another few times. it's a movie that i'm glad i watched.
"truly spectacular!" james.
haha... the critique has commented. so go watch it.

the picture is just full of suspense. x-men3.
had GP exam in the morning... hope i pass that or if possible, get an A. sigh... i did the topic on whether singapore has been successful in instilling a sense of belonging in her people. just put in a lot of crap about national day and others. paper 2 was also rather hopeless. didn't really understand the passage.
then went with the whole class to the asian civilisation museum. saw a lot of artifacts and statues. but who cares about that lah huh... we just walked around the museum acting intellectual like staring at the artifacts and commenting on it. boring lah... took lots of pictures as a class. haha... can't wait to see them.
anyway... it's saddening to know that whilst other people are enjoying their holidays, the JC students are constantly going back to school for extra lectures and tutorials. miserable.
at least i have band to look forward to during the holidays...

some of the clarinet section before the start of joie de vivre2.

the j1 clarinetists and our SL, vincent.
enjoy... will be getting all the pictures from huikoon and xuanwei soon. now the final person... fabian!
see u soon...

i think today's the end of the J2s career in mjcsb.
i went crazy today during band. kept laughing till miss sia scolded me and asked me not to "um chio". sigh, i'm going to miss all the clarinet seniors. band was supposed to start at 9... but people came in much much later. i think it was because many people had to go back to change into their school uniform.
so ya... practiced jericho and played it for the japanese guests. basically, what is going to happen is... a japanese school band is going to come down to singapore and will be having an exchanged with mjcsb in july. afterwhich, mjcsb will go down to japan next year in july. so the conductor and his other jap counterparts came down to singapore first to get a glimpse of our band. yup... and we played jericho for him. he liked it... although i thought it sucked. not ms sia's fault though, we're just not that good enough. thus, brought my clarinet home to practice.
the conductor took a look at our band and played 'the godfather' on xuanwei's trumpet. haha... i guess his trumpet along with the mouthpiece will be worth a lot now. and well, we had to bow at yijun's command.
"rei" means bow in japanese.
forgot the rest.
practiced until 12 and had lunch with the whole band. clarinetists were all so unglam lah. we took so much food... btw, we ordered 12 boxes of hawaiian & chicken pizza from canadian pizza. so ya, i had three slices of pizza and lots of finger food which were prepared by french horns. quite nice... by the time i downed all the food along with three cups of pepsi & coke, i was so full. and the weather made it worse... i was perspiring like crazy.
the clarinet section then played catching all over the school with bryan, teresa & abigail being the catchers. to cut the whole story short... most of the people got caught within half an hour (grins... abigail and teresa old lah) except yosua. in the end, the whole section went out to help the two girls catch yosua. you shld have seen it... it was so comical. he ran around the hall with me and huikoon on his heels. the rest ran the other direction and we cornered him in seconds. love my section... everyone is just young at heart. haha.
going to miss all the fond memories of playing with the seniors. heard that vincent is going to play in the nbc with us. thank God for him...
soccer with vjc didn't go well at all. we lost with a score of 2-4. shall not even bother to elaborate. still too shocked. despite the loss, we still got our holiday. i think miss lai thought the soccer boys deserved a rest. oh well, i hope we win back the championships next year. my voice is quite hoarse now after all the shouting and cheering yesterday. you should have seen the band. we were crazy... doing all kinds of funny dances. and the councillors said we were very quiet. bah!!!
next week is the GP exams. i haven't started revising. anyway, what's there to revise. it's basically a test of people's english skills. sigh... i just have to pray and ya, pray somemore.
can't wait to watch x-men: the last stand.
it'll be after the GP exams.
oh... and i think we're going to do more cip as a clarinet section. shiyi initiated a cip where the whole section would do an ensemble. looking forward to that too.
have been very lazy to upload pictures from concert nite. wait till i finish procastinating... i'll upload them soon. have to collect all the pics from various people like fabian, xuanwei & huikoon. you'll get to see them soon i hope.
have to go revise my work already.
ciao.

i shall keep whatever i feel inside of me now. no use telling everyone cos no one bothers.
the hand over was today. they've stepped down already. i shall miss of them.
concert's over... yet people wished they had gone for the band concert. so contradictory. it's just sad!
Bad Day
Where is the moment we needed the most You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost They tell me your blue skies fade to gray They tell me your passion's gone away And I don't need no carryin' on
You stand in the line just to hit a new low You're faking a smile with the coffee you go You tell me your life's been way off line You're falling to pieces every time And I don't need no carryin' on
Because you had a bad day You're taking one down You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know You tell me don't lie You work at a smile and you go for a ride You had a bad day The camera don't lie You're coming back down and you really don't mind You had a bad day You had a bad day
Will you need a blue sky holiday? The point is they laugh at what you say And I don't need no carryin' on
You had a bad day You're taking one down You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know You tell me don't lie You work at a smile and you go for a ride You had a bad day The camera don't lie You're coming back down and you really don't mind You had a bad day
(Oooh.. a holiday..)
Sometimes the system goes on the bling And the whole thing turns out wrong You might not make it back and you know That you could be well oh that strong And I'm not wrong
(yeah...)
So where is the passion when you need it the most Oh you and I You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
Cause you had a bad day You're taking one down You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know You tell me don't lie You work at a smile and you go for a ride You had a bad day You've seen what you like And how does it feel for one more time You had a bad day You had a bad day
hope my bad day fades into grey... sigh. depressed.

last night was a truly a night of musical esctasy.
joie de vivre was a complete success!
shall not bother to even mention the chemistry practical that morning, in which i had to come to school early... it totally ruined my mood. the plus point... i think i'm going to do well.
so ya... the section had a last minute meeting where vincent went through the pieces with us verbally, telling us things to note. we waited for our turn to board the bus and in the meantime, took many pictures with the section. went down to VCH early for rehearsal. the J1s presented the J2s with their 'famous amos' cookies. i hope u seniors love it! when u all eat it, please remember us k.
concert started about 7.30pm. met up with val, serene, germaine & wenqi before that. thanks for coming gals. though i didn't see marco, but he was there somewhere.
didn't feel as nervous like i was in tk. it was just heartening to play with my beloved seniors. it started off rather well until my instrument squeaked. fortunately, it didn't squeak anymore after that. haha... by the time jericho ended, my lips were already giving way to fatigue. air was coming out of both sides of my mouth. but jericho was very nice. i felt phantom was well-loved by the audience.
then the alumni came on to play mononoke. shall not judge this. no right to.
wanted to play noah's ark... but vincent asked us not to due to some reasons. in the end, the clarinet J1s did not play it. i took the opportunity to allow my lips to rest and passed my instrument over to yanqing (yan qi's elder sister).
2nd half of the concert was probably the best... john williams was great. the songs were all very expressive and les miserables was well-played too. though we didn't have play the encore piece for a very good reason that we were running behind tight schedule and furthermore, the audience only paid 10 bucks, we still had the energy to scream and shout. my ears were practically going deaf from all the cheers coming from chelsea, lisa, charity & huikoon. the four of them are freaking loud! haha.
overall... miss lai was very satisfied with the concert. the school advisory committee was also pleased i heard. :)
so ya... the two hours of concert passed by in a flash. somehow it seemed like the concert only lasted for an hour. everything just went so fast. no matter what... i'm glad we had a chance to go thru it. joie de vivre 2 has left a lasting impression in me.
on the bus back... bryan was as usual full of adrenaline. he made so many unglam poses. which brings me to one point. i almost knocked down zhengyi's stand when i was going to my seat. hongwei's chair fell off the riser too... so pai seh can? it made so much noise!!! haha...
so ya... bryan was imitating miss yeo, along with chelsea. and mrs lau was enjoying the lame conversations she had with us. zhengyi was like a father lah... he scolded us for eating too much titbits. haha... yosua was the exact opposite. he was like... eat more! finish it up! haha...
when we reached school... transferred all the percussion instruments along with the other bulky instruments back to the band room. then continued taking pictures with people. shall upload it soon, along with other pictures from people's camera!
now for the dedication segment...
J2s: thanks for everything. kenny, sookun, yijun, fabian, kangzhuang, jerome, hongwei, xuanwei, kailing, tzeyan, paulina & deborah! you have been great seniors thru and thru. the wonderful memories of playing with all of you will stay with me always.
J2 clarinetists: vincent, kinlok, huikoon, zhengyi, sarah, felicia, lisa, yosua, teresa, weijie, abigail, charity & marlina. the best clarinet seniors ever!!! i'm so glad to have seniors like all of you. sectionals and band would never be the same without all of you. take care and all the best!
2.5 gang: my best-est frens in band. candice, melzoh, bryan, shiyi, chanlun, kangzhuang & jerome! more cards in future!!!
J1s: to my current batch mates... let's go all out and make MJCSB a band renowned for its beautiful music!
beatrice, hannah, esther & others from o6s213 for coming to the concert. thanks for the 'merci' chocolates.
valerie, serene, germaine for the flowers and chocolates.
bernice for her stalk of gerbera.
MJCSB rocks!

anticipating joie de vivre's grand arrival!!!
haha...
i miss all of u crazy peeps too.
S.A.C.S.Z
sorry for not going out... i'm either busy with mjc band or with school work. hopefully, i can find time to do some leisure activities.
meanwhile... hang in there! i'm somewhat getting sick of my life in mjc. there is a constant workflow always piling up. and the only thing that keeps me going now is the band. the only thing i look forward to nowadays!
i wish we could turn back time to 2002. where we were still carefree sec 1s.
i would gladly just go for band, band and more band than stay in lessons and rot. esp these few days where i keep on dozing off in class because of flu. i can't even concentrate.
i pray that joie de vivre2 will be a huge success that it leaves an impression on me. after the concert, i'll probably just go back to rotting in class!
physics practical sucked! i screwed up the whole experiment. really dun know what i was doing. hopefully, i dun fail!
k lah... i shall go catch some sleep before tmr.
nite.

very sick!!!
the flu bug just caught me and ya... injected me with the flu! so now... my eyes are constantly tearing and my noise is like a tap that keeps flowing. i need my rest but i have a level physics spa tmr... what a wrong timing to fall sick!
i hope i get well before the concert.
went with candice to get a new hp cover for my nokia 3100. it looks somewhat newer now. however, i'm rather rusty with using nokia after changing to sony ericson. have to get used to it though. can't wait to get back my sony ericson k750i on wed.
till then... nite.

i've gotten rid of that irritating anonymous tagger who pissed me off real bad. stupid idiot lah! he's probably jealous of me having so many wonderful godbrothers and godsisters. he's a coward who hides behind the identity of 'anonymous'. whatever it is, if i get to know the person... i will beat him till he dies!
i've been busy the past few days... with the music xtraodinaire and choir concert.
firstly, went with some band members to watch the choir concert on wed. met lots of people there. not going to mention who. but ya, the choir concert was very nice.
the music xtraodinaire... yijun didn't come in tops but we sure enjoyed ourselves. ziyang came to mjc. and ya, the girls all swooned. jianxin's band came in tops though...
vesak day... had band! tired lah... holiday still have to go back to school.
had band again today from 3 to 7.30pm. now my eyes are closing. too tired to do anything.
joie de vivre is in 6 days time. can't wait man! it's going to be a successful concert.
meanwhile... i'm going to sleep. lips are dead numb.
nite.

i finally handed in my PI to mr kwek after weeks of research and sleepless nights. finally... it's done. i can't wait to see the 'Exceeding Expectations' on my work.
haha... today's soccer match was rather dismal. didn't watch it though. was doing work at the study benches outside the GO. and the band was having interviews for the exco. i dunno whether to be glad or be sad that i didn't run. i want to be part of exco... but i dun like to rally or public speak. oh the fear of it.
MJC against RJC with a score of 0 - 0.
i'm really tired today after the late night yesterday rushing my final product of PI. i have panda eyes...
i seriously need sleep... lots of sleep!
but i have lots of tests to study for thru out this week. sigh... and i have to go for mjc choir concert on wednesday. sian lah! really sleepy!
i think i should just go study my redox a while more before i go sleep.
God wants us to bring more souls to the Lord, which is our purpose of existence. will commit all my frens in prayer that they will all know the Lord before the time comes.
'But you will receive power when the holy spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in jerusalem, and in all judea and samaria, and to the ends of the earth.' Acts 1:8

it's sunday... and i'm not looking forward to school.
church was rather quiet today. lots of people didn't turn up... uncle milton didn't play the organ so it was uncle patrick who lead worship.
as i was playing the clarinet for church, i felt God's presence all around. it was so heartening to just be close to him and to worship in his presence. the music that we played today was just beautiful (not praising my clarinet sound) but as a whole, i felt it was just soothing to the ears and suitable for welcoming the Lord into our midst.
daryl was at the boat today again. though i didn't spend much time with big bro, but i was really glad to see him. he's so frail. poor bro.
so we planned to meet up for some star-gazing & catch-up session... haha. probably at his penthouse. will spend the whole nite on beach chairs, drinking and fellowshipping. i can't wait...
i'm so glad that the day of rapture is going to come soon. the time of jesus' return is coming soon and signs are all in the bible. he will come with lightning in the east and sweep across to the west. and all christians will be up in heaven with him, and there will be no sorrow and sufferings.
God, i'm ready for you.
'Yet to all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God' John 1:12
i thank God for andrew's salvation. the two of us will meet again in heaven when the time comes.
best friends always.
amen.

today's polling day... i spent the whole day at home. slacking literally.
played the clarinet.
watched da chang jin.
and now using the comp... my dad reformatted it cos there was a file which was corrupted.
rushing my PI now...
sometimes i dislike david kwek a lot. he keeps saying he is frustrated with us cos our PI isn't done well. what the heck... arrrggg.
anyway...
Happy Birthday Anisa.
i better get back to doing my work. can't afford to slack when stupid mjc gives so many tests a week. oh, did i mention? the econs department very "smart". they dun call tests 'tests'... they call it consolidation exercises. stupid lah! ultimately, they're still tests. dun make it sound so nice can?
goodbye.

i miss my best friend. i miss my godbrothers. i miss my elder sister.

my cousin christopher is being such an ASS!!!
haha.
oh well... i'm in my cousin's house now waiting for my elder brother to come fetch me home. so ya, taking this opportunity to blog.
went out with shuuji & gang to celebrate christine pang's birthday today. met all of them at tampines pizza hut ard 12. some of them were late, sally esp. we were supposed to meet at 12 but she came almost half an hour later. but anyway, had hawaiian and pepperoni pizza along with drinks which came to about $60 after discount. christine didn't need to pay... cos she's the birthday girl.
then went to the airport to study at popeye's but got chase out cos there were a lot of people there. i dun seem to understand why people have to fight with us just to go out. when i'm there, lots of other people like to go out too. shuuji hates it too. he curses them all the time... i find it irritating to go out whenever there's a huge crowd. so u can't find me at major events like 'the nation's countdown' or 'national day parade' cos i hate knocking into people and having them staring! simply idiotic.
so we got chased out and i decided to come to my aunt's condo where we really studied in peace without anyone disturbing us. simply wonderful... i used to come here before my 'O' levels whenever i got fed up with having to meet people at the marine parade library or the changi airport. and ya... i'm back to start studying for the major exams and for the 'A' levels.
time just passes so fast!
whoosh... i'm born.
whoosh... i'm 7 and ready to enter primary school.
whoosh... i'm 12 and taking my PSLE.
whoosh... i'm 13 and entering secondary school.
whoosh... i'm 16 and finishing my 'O' Levels.
whoosh... i'm 17 and starting college.
funny huh! haha... i'm being lame. ignore the 'whooshes'.
tmr is another freaking long day at school. i'm sick of going to school. life sucks cos i have to meet deadlines and have to see teachers that irritate me.
i'm looking forward to the weekends and more holidays. can't wait for band concert. it's in three weeks time. wish i could turn the clock faster to the concert and have it stop there.
...
i feel like singing now. so bored... gen & chris are so quiet at the moment. studying for their exams i guess. it's tmr.
good luck cousins!
better go...
ciao.
